As a private bodyguard and martial artist turned health and fitness trainer, Quintin knows what it takes to motivate clients and take them to the next level in achieving their goals. He uses sport, nutrition, and empowerment-related practices to help his clients become the best version of themselves.
His journey in combat sports started at age 19 when stepped into a Boston boxing gym. The rest is history. For eight years, he dedicated himself to the sweet science: training, sparring, and competing in the Golden Gloves as well as other state and regional tournaments. After his last fight at the age of 27, he moved to New York City where he gained extensive knowledge in kickboxing and self-defense. In 2013, he became a personal trainer, levels 1+2 Krav Maga instructor, and kick boxing coach at Krav Maga Academy.
In addition to self-defense, he specializes in HIIT, body toning, boxing and kickboxing training. He designs holistic programs that include nutrition, fat loss, and empowerment components and imparts the specific tools needed to help his clients grow into the people they strive to be.
It all started at the age of 13, when Lior began his martial art journey in Karate and Muay Thai at his local dojo in Tel Aviv. The personal challenges this new activity offered quickly drew him into a consistent practice.
At the age of 18, Lior started his army service as a Krav Maga instructor and fitness trainer for the Military Police Academy in the Israeli Defense Force. As part of his service, he trained and worked with the Plain Clothes detectives and intelligence units along with other branches of the IDF.
After his Army service, Lior returned home and started training in Brazilian jiu jitsu and competed in amateur Muay Thai fights. For the next four years, he found himself with his sensei at the local dojo teaching classes to kids, teenagers, and adults. During that time, Lior achieved his black belt in Karate and completed Personal Training certification from Wingate Institute and Karate Instructor certification from Karate Do International.
In 2012, Lior moved to the United States to teach in one of NYC’s biggest Krav Maga schools where he remained for three years. Along with creating their kid’s self defense curriculum, he spent countless hours on the mat training group and private lessons with kids, teens, adults, and celebrities.
Since then Lior has been running his own private training business and recently had the opportunity to team up with Empower to Power®. Through this new collaboration he has had the chance to create a women’s self defense program as well programs for kids and adults.
At some point in her past, Empower to Power® founder Geneva Simms experienced a Time’s Up situation in a work place environment that changed the trajectory of her professional path. Since then, it has become her purpose to learn about and create ways to prevent what happened to her from happening to anyone else.
Geneva is a certified self-defense coach, meditation teacher, Personal Trainer (NASM), and Group Fitness Instructor (AFAA). She leads her fitness classes and personal training sessions from a holistic standpoint, combining her knowledge of the nervous system and its various effects on physical performance. She encourages clients to be present and to find joy in movement in order to foster a stronger connection between the body and mind all while helping her clients to achieve their goals and reach their optimal potential. She’s worked with clients of all ages and levels, including celebrities preparing for on-screen roles, pre/post-natal women, and clients coming back from injuries. Her genuine love for teaching stems from an innate desire to empower clients to empower themselves.
Geneva’s additional certifications include CPR/AED, Mindfulness Meditation (Journey Meditation), Kundalini Yoga and Meditation (Golden Bridge NYC with Gurmukh and Gurushabd), Non-Violent Communication Strategies (Center for Non-Violent Communication), Small Group Training (NASM), MMA Conditioning (NASM), Women’s Fitness and Pre/Post Natal (NASM), Fitness Nutrition (NASM), TRX Group Suspension Training, TRX Level 2 Force Training, and Jillian Michaels BODYSHRED for which she was selected to be a Lead Master Trainer certifying trainers throughout the country to be BODYSHRED instructors.
Geneva’s personal workout regimen is comprised of running, boxing, TRX, HIIT, and strength-based fitness methods. She has run numerous half marathons and is a four time New York City Marathon Finisher. Additionally, she was chosen to be a lululemon Ambassador.
